This time reporting app allows Continental to record expected and actual hours spent on the project and seamlessly process this information in its cost controlling and project monitoring system.
Challenge
To reliably plan its numerous R&D projects and perform reality checks during and after project execution, the Tire division of Continental AG had been using an in-house solution for several years. However, because of its shortcomings in terms of user-friendliness and performance, the solution was not well adopted by the staff. Since cost controlling is typically part of overall project management, the company was looking for a solution to provide centralized project management functionality while being able to incorporate peripheral tasks such as project time tracking.
